Higher education

The University of Cambridge is an institute of higher education.

Higher education, also known as higher education, or the third phase of post-secondary education, is the non-compulsory education level after the completion of a school providing secondary education as a high school, the school secondary gymnasium or [change]. Higher education is normally taken to include undergraduate and postgraduate education and vocational education and training. Colleges and universities are the main institutions which offer higher education. Collectively, they are sometimes known as tertiary education institutions.Tertiary generally results in the receipt of certificates, diplomas or degrees.

Higher education includes teaching, research and social services activities of universities, and in the field of education, it includes both the first level (sometimes referred to as higher education) and graduates ( or postgraduate) level (sometimes referred to as higher education). Higher education in this country in general to work on a degree level or basic level of qualification. In most developed countries a large proportion of the population (up 50%) is now entering higher education at some point in their lives. Higher education is very important for national economies, both as a major industry in its own right and as a source of trained and qualified staff for the rest of the economy
